Education Background
Margaryta began her academic career pursuing her passion for the arts. Between 2007 and 2012, she earned her Master’s in Art History and Theory from the National Academy of Arts and Architecture of Kyiv, Ukraine.
While going to school in Ukraine, she became interested in studying the German language and literature at the Goethe Institut of Kyiv in Ukraine for two years. After that, she relocated to Berlin, Germany, to further her German language studies at the Institut für Sprachvermittlung for another two years.
Over the next several years, Margaryta’s interests shifted toward technology and business. She attended Kyiv National Economic University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Economics & Information Technologies in Economics. That gave her the education she wanted to understand more about the functions of information technologies and how they align with economics.
Margaryta did not stop with her business education. After graduating from Kyiv National Economic University, Margaryta wanted to earn her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. So, she applied and got accepted into the prestigious Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
Margaryta completed her graduate-level educational pursuits after receiving her MBA degree in 2022. She now had the confidence and expertise to become a true leader and innovator in business management and technology. Combining these two fields made IT Project Manager her obvious career path. But first, she had to gain the necessary work experience to reach this position.
Professional Background
Margaryta began her professional career as a QA Engineer at ValtechUA in Kyiv. Her job responsibilities included software testing and creating automation tests against test cases. Her main area of focus was e-commerce platforms like Demandware and Magento. The skills acquired from this position paved the way for a better opportunity to work as a Lead Test Engineer at Fidor Solutions AG in Munich, Germany.
The Lead Test Engineer position required Margaryta to lead and coordinate a quality assurance team in manual and automation tests. When a particular software was ready for a live release, she would coordinate the go-live release alongside her team. Two years in this position further allowed Margaryta to develop her skills as both a leader and an IT professional. These skills helped advance her career to the professional title she holds today: IT Project Manager.
Margaryta was hired as an IT Project Manager and Agile Master at Akka Technologies, where she served from 2019 to 2023. It was a critical position for her because she was now overseeing larger-scale projects than anything she had done before. These were projects for a high-end client like BMW. Her task was to ensure that everyone on the Scrum Team understood the goals, scope, and product domain of the projects. She also coordinated with a staffing team of 16 offsite people and oversaw other project communications with all relevant stakeholders.
From 2023 until now, Margaryta has worked as an IT Project Manager and Agile Master for a different Munich-based company, Materna SE. In this position, she leads several Agile teams in developing and improving AI-powered smart home and IoT solutions for clients. The budgets of most of her managed projects exceed €400,000. She must align project goals with the set project budgets to ensure more money and resources are not spent than necessary.

Entrepreneurship
Margaryta has grown to appreciate the business side of IT project management and leadership. She spent years aligning business and project goals for her employers and clients. This experience gave her the confidence to become an entrepreneur by creating her company, EcoTech Smart Solutions.
The mission of EcoTech is to address critical national challenges facing the world, such as high energy consumption, financial barriers, and cybersecurity threats. Margaryta is using her company to integrate AI-powered smart systems and IoT solutions to improve energy efficiency for buildings.
EcoTech specifically identifies and develops scalable, cost-effective solutions for reducing carbon emissions and optimizing resource consumption. In other words, the company aims to create advanced green energy technology that small businesses and homeowners can use to lower their high energy costs. Since inflation drives up energy prices, EcoTech’s work toward developing green energy solutions is more critical than ever.
EcoTech has already made valuable contributions, such as creating meaningful jobs and promoting economic growth and American sustainability goals. If more small businesses and homeowners could access more affordable green energy technology, EcoTech would have accomplished its long-term goal.
Of course, solving real-world energy challenges is no easy task. The solutions are not just about developing the technology needed to solve them. They are also about ensuring that smart solutions are more accessible to everyone in the United States, including those in rural areas. If this were to happen, the United States would be heading toward a more sustainable future.
